We are open Monday to Friday from 9.00 am to 12.30 pm and from 1.30 pm to 6.00 pm, and we are happy to assist you with your purchase.
You will find us on the first floor to the left of the main entrance in the former premises of the Niederglatt Cantonal Police. Please note that there is no lift.
Geiger Edelmetalle AG in Niederglatt holds an official purchasing licence from the Federal Office for Precious Metals Control and is one of the registered buyers authorised to purchase scrap precious metals on a commercial basis.

NOTES
For larger quantities of scrap gold or a gross weight of 100 grams or more, you will benefit from more attractive purchase prices.
Unfortunately, we are unable to purchase gemstones or remove gemstones from jewellery.If you wish to combine the sale of your scrap gold with the purchase of bullion coins or bars, we can offer you attractive special terms on selected products in some cases.
Procedure
We assess your jewellery using state-of-the-art X-ray fluorescence analysis. You are present in person at every stage and can follow the assessment process transparently. The weight of your jewellery is determined using a calibrated scale.
Once the assessment has been successfully completed and authenticity confirmed, we will pay you the equivalent value immediately in cash. On request, we can also transfer the amount directly to your bank account
Please note that we require a copy of your ID and your personal details to complete the transaction.Silver, palladium and platinum – in the form of bars and coins – are subject to VAT. Therefore: the purchase of these goods from abroad is only possible upon presentation of an official import customs certificate. The same regulations apply to jewellery made of gold, platinum, palladium and silver, as well as numismatic items.

Will an estimate or quotation cost me anything?
In principle, verbal rough assessments are free of charge, but if a written or individual estimate is required, we will charge a fee depending on the work involved. (CHF 120/per hour)
Do you buy silver cutlery?
If the cutlery is stamped 800 or 925 (sterling) - YES (Attention with the knives, only the handles are covered with a thin layer of silver).
How can I tell if the cutlery is silver or silver-plated?
If the cutlery is hallmarked with 90 or 100, it is silver-plated cutlery.
Will my data be passed on?
There is no automatic passing on of data. However, we are obliged to answer police enquiries if there is a suspicion of a crime.
Do you buy Swiss silver coins?
Yes, we buy e.g. 50 centimes, 1 franc, 2 francs and 5 francs from 1874 to 1967. The coins have an alloy of 835/1000 and at the moment have approximately twice the nominal value, except for the 5 franc pieces.
