There are 25 coins in a tube.
When the tube is closed and completely filled, there is the least risk of the coins oxidising. In addition, each unopened Krugerrand silver tube is sealed.
Only coins in very good condition will be accepted at the stated price. For coins in poorer condition (oxidation, milk spots or oxidized fingerprints), we will determine the purchase price after consultation with our dealers.
The 1 oz gold Krugerrand is probably the best known and most widely used gold coin in the world. It is also the oldest gold coin still in production today. It has been produced by the South African Mint near Johannesburg since 1967. A special feature of the Krugerrand is that although it has no face value, it is official currency in the Republic of South Africa.
The front shows the portrait of Paul Kruger and the rim reads SUID-AFRIKA and SOUTH AFRICA. On the reverse you can clearly see the well-known motif of the springbok, which distinguishes the Krugerrand. You can also see the year of minting and the weight.
The name Krugerrand is composed of the name Kruger, a South African politician and military commander of German origin, and the national currency Rand.
The coin is produced in die-stamped mint condition with a fineness of 999/1,000 and a face value of 1 Rand.
Another advantage that the Krugerrand offers is that it is repurchased by precious metal dealers and banks without any problems due to its unique well-known status. Thus it is simply a "must have" for every precious metal investor.
