Since the initial appearance of the “Panda” investment coin in 1982, it has developed into a classic among precious metal investment products and enjoys a continuously growing, international fan base.
The Gold Panda classically shows on the back the consistent motif of the Temple of Heaven in Beijing, which was used by the Chinese emperors of the Qing dynasties to pray for a good harvest every year.
The year of issue and the country of origin, “People’s Republic of China” in Chinese characters, are also embossed.
On the front there is the annually changing image of a panda and the face value of the gold coin.
The gold coin was also issued as 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, 1/10 oz and 1/20 oz.
