More than half a million people visit the Jungfraujoch - Top of Europe every year to admire the breathtaking view of the largest sea of ice in the Alps, the Aletsch Glacier and the peaks and ridges of the mountain giants. This was made possible by the Jungfrau Railway, which was completed 100 years ago. The building, designed in 1893 by the Zurich industrialist Adolf Guyer-Zeller, is considered the pioneering work of mountain railways.
